This is a fixed bullet camera for a job a moving camera does not do better: covering one approach, all the time, at high resolution. The 8MP sensor records at 4K, and H.265 compression keeps the file sizes manageable so a card or recorder holds more days of footage before it starts overwriting. Onvif support lets it join an existing recorder setup alongside cameras from other brands.

Two lens choices are offered. The 2.8mm lens gives the wider field and suits a doorway, a driveway entrance or a narrow side return where you want the whole area in frame. The 3.6mm lens trades some width for reach and works better along a fence line or a longer approach. AI humanoid detection filters alerts down to people. After dark there are three night vision modes: infrared, full time color using the white LED spotlight, and a smart mode that stays in infrared until a person is detected and then brings the spotlight on. The camera has a built-in microphone, so it records the sound at the scene and you can listen in, but it does not speak back. A 4MP sensor option is available if the extra resolution is not needed.

The housing is rated IP67 and the camera is specified to run from -49F to 131F, so it can sit through a hard winter and a hot roofline. It takes a DC supply and ships with a US plug. Mount it under an eave or soffit where the housing is shielded from direct rain and sun, angled down across the approach rather than straight out at head height. Run the cable through the mount rather than leaving it exposed, and check the lens glass a couple of times a year for dust and webs that cause false motion triggers.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which lens should I choose?

The 2.8mm gives the wider field and suits a doorway, a driveway entrance or a narrow side return. The 3.6mm trades some width for reach along a fence line or a longer approach.

Where should it be mounted?

Under an eave or soffit where the housing is shielded from direct rain and sun, angled down across the approach rather than straight out at head height.

Will it fit my existing setup?

Onvif support lets it join an existing recorder alongside cameras from other brands, so it slots into what you already run.

Does it record sound?

Yes, audio is captured alongside the video, and AI humanoid detection keeps the alerts themselves filtered down to people.

How do I keep it accurate?

Run the cable through the mount rather than leaving it exposed, and check the lens glass a couple of times a year for the dust and webs that cause false motion triggers.
