This ANRAN camera pairs solar power with a floodlight, which changes what you get after dark. Instead of an infrared image in monochrome, the 600 lumen spotlight comes on when motion is detected and the camera records in color, so clothing, vehicles and faces are far easier to identify. There are two switchable night modes, full color with the light on or black and white infrared with the light held in reserve, with useful detail out to about 8 yd. The light also does the job a light does, which is to make an approaching person aware they have been seen, and a 90 dB siren can sound alongside it.
Power comes from a solar panel and a rechargeable battery, so the camera mounts anywhere with sun and no socket: a fence, a gate post, a garage side wall, an outbuilding. It can also be charged from a 5V 1A adapter, which is not supplied, for stretches when the sun is scarce. It connects over 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, which reaches further through walls and across a yard than a 5GHz signal, and it streams to the ANRAN app for live view, playback and alert settings.
Footage can be kept on an SD card of up to 128GB, which is not included, or in cloud storage. Sets are available as a single camera or a pair, at 3MP or 5MP. Note that this model works through the ANRAN app and cannot be added to an NVR, so plan it as a standalone system rather than an addition to an existing recorder setup. Mount the panel for several hours of direct sun a day and expect shorter runtimes in a dull winter. Set the detection zone to your own ground so the battery is not spent on passing traffic.
